What Is Positive Behaviour Support (PBS)?

Positive Behaviour Support (PBS) is a proactive, person-centred approach to understanding behaviours of concern. Rather than focusing on control or correction, PBS explores the reasons why behaviours occur and develops tailored strategies that:

Restrictive Practice Review and Reduction

If restrictive practices are in place, we guide ethical and safe use while aiming to reduce or eliminate them over time. These practices may include physical restraint or environmental restraint, always used only when necessary and under strict NDIS guidelines.

What Is a Behaviour Support Plan (BSP)?

A Behaviour Support Plan (BSP) is a personalised document developed by a qualified Behaviour Support Practitioner. It includes:

  • Insights into the reasons behind behaviours of concern
  • Proactive prevention and response strategies
  • Steps for teaching new, functional skills
  • Environmental modifications to support success
  • Plans for reducing or eliminating restrictive practices (if required)

Every BSP is designed to enhance quality of life, uphold rights and dignity, and promote independence.
