Empowering Individuals Through Person-Centred, Evidence-Based Support
At The Konnections Project, we deliver NDIS-registered Positive Behaviour Support services designed to help individuals of all ages reduce behaviours of concern, build functional skills, and enhance their quality of life.
Our experienced Behaviour Support Practitioners work across Sydney, including Canterbury, Bankstown, Ryde, Northern Sydney, Western Sydney, South Western Sydney, the Campbelltown area and surrounding suburbs. We offer compassionate, flexible, and evidence-informed support delivered in homes, community settings, and via telehealth where suitable.

What Is Positive Behaviour Support (PBS)?
Positive Behaviour Support (PBS) is a proactive, person-centred approach to understanding behaviours of concern. Rather than focusing on control or correction, PBS explores the reasons why behaviours occur and develops tailored strategies that:
Enhance independence and communication
Improve participation at home, school, and in the community
Strengthen relationships and social connections
Reduce reliance on restrictive practices
Promote long-term wellbeing
Develop functional skills and proactive supports to reduce the likelihood of behaviours of concern
PBS is funded under the NDIS Capacity Building – Improved Relationships category.
How Positive Behaviour Support Works
Our approach is flexible and tailored to each person’s unique needs and circumstances. Here’s how we support you:
Functional Behaviour Assessments (FBA)
We conduct thorough observations and consultations to identify the causes of concerning behaviours and gather insights for effective planning.
Direct Participant Support
Our practitioners can provide coaching and direct intervention sessions to help participants build essential skills, including:
- Emotional regulation
- Problem-solving
- Social interaction and communication skills
Behaviour Support Plans (BSPs)
We develop practical, NDIS-compliant plans tailored to your strengths, routines, and goals. A qualified Behaviour Support Practitioner creates each plan, focusing on proactive strategies, skill development, and reducing behaviours of concern.
Training for Families, Carers, and Educators
We empower your support network with practical tools and knowledge to help you navigate daily life with confidence.
Progress Monitoring and Plan Reviews
We regularly review your plan to ensure it stays relevant, adjusting strategies as your needs evolve.
Restrictive Practice Review and Reduction
If restrictive practices are in place, we guide ethical and safe use while aiming to reduce or eliminate them over time. These practices may include physical restraint or environmental restraint, always used only when necessary and under strict NDIS guidelines.
What Is a Behaviour Support Plan (BSP)?
A Behaviour Support Plan (BSP) is a personalised document developed by a qualified Behaviour Support Practitioner. It includes:
- Insights into the reasons behind behaviours of concern
- Proactive prevention and response strategies
- Steps for teaching new, functional skills
- Environmental modifications to support success
- Plans for reducing or eliminating restrictive practices (if required)
Every BSP is designed to enhance quality of life, uphold rights and dignity, and promote independence.
Already Have a Behaviour Support Plan?
If you have an existing BSP from another provider, we can:
Review and update your current plan
Take over the implementation with your consent
Reassess your situation and create a new plan if needed
Provide training for your support network
Our team ensures a smooth, respectful transition and prioritises continuity of care.
